Bloomington, IN - October 13, 2010 -ISSA Green Cleaning University
(ISSA GCU) announces that three new classes have been added to the
course's curriculum and that several "core" classes have been updated
as well.
GCU was founded by David Holly and Stephen Ashkin, both of The Ashkin Group, LLC. Last year GCU formed a partnership with ISSA creating ISSA Green Cleaning University.
According to Holly, Chancellor of ISSA GCU and senior project manager for The Ashkin Group, before the recent update there were 10 core or comprehensive GCU classes applicable to all interested in Green Cleaning.
"They were designed as an introduction to Green Cleaning and to be viewed by a broad spectrum of industry segments," says Holly.
The three new classes are:
Successful completion of the course exams provides students with a Certificate of Completion and the designation as an ISSA Green Cleaning Professional.
First introduced in 2006, GCU has graduated several hundred Green Cleaning Professionals. Originally, the curriculum focused on helping JanSan distributors understand Green Cleaning issues and be better prepared to assist their customers.
However today, the scope is much broader with growing applications for building service providers.
"Cleaning professionals are the people that make Green Cleaning happen," states Holly. "We want them thoroughly versed on what Green Cleaning is, how it works, why it is necessary and how it can benefit them and their customers, along with the environment."
He also says ISSA GCU will be adding more classes in the near future "to reflect our ongoing commitment to keep ISSA GCU current, relevant and timely."
More information about ISSA Green Cleaning University will be available at the 2010 ISSA /INTERCLEAN Tradeshow in Orlando, FL this November. David Holly will also be a speaker in the Green Pavilion.
