ISSA/INTERCLEAN USA 2005 Breaks Records

ISSA/INTERCLEAN USA 2005 broke all previous attendance records with the highest turnout in the tradeshow's history - 17,579 registered - at a time when most industrial tradeshows are in decline.

The event, hosted by ISSA and its tradeshow partner, Amsterdam RAI, took place October 18-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.

"More significant than the total attendance was the ratio of customers to exhibitors, which was 2-to-1 this year compared with 1.4-to-1 in the prior two years," said ISSA Executive Director John Garfinkel. "The historical ratio used to be less than 1-to-1 when the show was in the old format - available only to distributors. Our ongoing goal is to improve the return on investment for the exhibitors, which invest heavily in the show, and to improve the take-away value for the attendees. I think this year's show did that. In addition, we think that the new format this year went a long way in helping make "doing business a pleasure" a new theme for the show."

ISSA looks forward to hosting ISSA/INTERCLEAN USA attendees in the association's headquarter city of Chicago, IL, October 4-7, 2006.
