K-Tech wins 2008 Family Business of the Year Award Weston, WI – May 2, 2008: Six family businesses were honored in the fifth annual Wisconsin Family Business of the Year Award banquet held May 1 in Madison. Three grand awards were presented along with three special awards.

The Wisconsin Family Business of the Year Award was created to highlight and celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of family businesses that make an impact on the Wisconsin business community. Winners are chosen by an independent panel of judges from nominations solicited from family businesses in Wisconsin.

At the awards program it was stated that, “What impressed the judges most about K-tech Kleening Systems, Inc. was their efforts in the community.” “Not only are they taking care of their family, but they are being true stewards of their community and the environment.” Craig Kersemeier, President of K-tech stated that, “This Award exemplifies that it is not what companies take out of the communities they serve, but what they put back in to them.”

The award is sponsored by Smith & Gesteland, LLP, a Madison-based CPA and consulting firm; DeWitt Ross & Stevens, a Madison-based law firm; and Associated Bank. All of the sponsors are committed to helping family businesses thrive.

Grand awards were presented in three size categories: Large (100+ employees), Medium (50-99), and Small (under 50). Special awards were given by the judges to companies excelling in a particular area. K-tech Kleening Systems, Inc. is honored to accept this Grand Award for the 2008 Family Business of the Year in the medium-size category.
