MoreMay 18, 2009 – Prescott, Ariz. - At the Connections Conference and Exhibition in Clearwater Beach, Fla., May 13-16, Sapphire Scientific joined other Legend Brands companies in showcasing new products, including two new carpet cleaning truckmounts and a line of carpet cleaning chemicals. While Sapphire Scientific is a newcomer to the market, the team behind Sapphire products includes long-time carpet cleaning industry pioneers Mike Roden, Thom Fielding and Joe Domin, and some of the most trusted names in cleaning and restoration: BLUEline and Vortex, as well as the rest of the Legend Brands family including Dri-Eaz, Microban, Unsmoke and OdorX.
The team’s goal in developing the new Sapphire Scientific truckmounts was to completely reengineer truckmount design from the ground up – creating the smallest units in the industry while more than matching the performance of other machines. The truckmounts also offer a unique higher efficiency heat exchange system and a structural design that dramatically simplifies maintenance.
The truckmount development team is being led by Mike Roden, a 30-year veteran of truckmount engineering and manufacturing. “The components and build quality of these new units is unsurpassed,” said Roden. “And much of the crew at BLUEline that build these units have been dedicated to truckmounts for ten years.”
Joe Domin, Senior Research Chemist, brings four decades of cleaning chemical development experience to Sapphire’s new chemical line. "These cleaning compounds have been formulated using premium-quality ingredients to achieve the best cleaning performance in the carpet cleaning industry,” said Domin.
“This is an all-star team,” said Bill Bruders, President/CEO of Legend Brands. “We have brought together some of the best minds in the business to create a powerful new approach to carpet cleaning. It’s going to be a game-changer.”
Sapphire Scientific unveiled these products at the first Legend Brands distributors meeting in late April. “Sapphire Scientific has broken the mold for mobile carpet cleaning,” said Bruders. “We expect to begin shipping Sapphire products to distributors in early June.”
