MoreALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL (AP) -- A Costco employee was injured in Altamonte Springs while riding a floor cleaning machine. Officials say the man drove the machine beneath a steel shelf and wound up being pinned between it and the vehicle's steering wheel.
Officials did not release the man's name but said he was airlifted to a hospital. A Costco spokesman says the man cracked or broke a few ribs but was expected to be released.
He was operating a floor cleaner similar to equipment used to smooth ice at skating rinks.
