MoreMESA, Ariz. -- A man was crushed to death at work by a giant roll of carpet Tuesday morning, Mesa police said.
It happened Tuesday morning inside an east Valley flooring business.
Police said Jerry Pierce, 56, had a 1,000 pound roll of carpet come crashing down on him shortly after he arrived at Ace Flooring in Mesa around 8 a.m.
