BRIDGEPORT, Conn. [November 3, 2008] – Mark Unger, president of Unger Enterprises, was recently elected vice chairman of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Connecticut. Unger, who previously served as a board member and secretary for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut, became involved with the organization in August 2007. Unger's son received his wish of "Digging for Dinosaurs" in 2004, which had a profound affect on the entire family.

"Being part of an organization that is dedicated to restoring hope to children with life-threatening diseases and their families is truly amazing," said Mark Unger. "Having seen the impact this organization has on children first hand has shown me this is a wonderful and important cause. It is an honor to be a part of the Make-a-Wish Foundation."

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut was founded in 1986 with the mission of granting wishes to children who are facing life-threatening conditions. The Connecticut-based organization sets a goal of granting 150 to 160 wishes each year and has currently granted over 1,600 wishes since its inception. Wishes range from meeting celebrities to shopping sprees to outdoor adventures with the goal of restoring hope and giving strength to the children it serves.

At Unger Enterprises, Mark Unger oversees all global operations and manages the professional side of the business. He is also active with several industry associations having served as the International Director and Eastern Regional Director for the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) and as a member of the Board of Directors for the International Window Cleaner's Association (IWCA).
