MoreBuena Park, Calif.-based MitePro has adopted a mattress-cleaning approach that the company says has been used in Europe and in hospital settings for more than a decade, and applied it for use in the North American residential segment.
The system uses HEPA filtering systems and antibacterial systems specifically designed for mattress cleaning, performing what the company describes as "pulverizing dirt particles and other allergens that are inside the mattress." MitePro uses a dry, non-chemical system, combined with UV-C radiation, to exterminate and extract allergens, the company says.
