NAFCD to present new logistics case study

Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) will offer an all-new Floor Covering Industry Logistics Case Study in November.

CHICAGO, Ill. -- The not-for-profit National Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) will offer an all-new Floor Covering Industry Logistics Case Study, Nov. 9 -11 at The Radisson Hotel near Chicago's O'Hare airport. The program will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday evening and end at noon on Sunday.

The Logistics Case Study was specifically designed for operations, facilities, logistics and warehouse managers. It's aimed at all levels of expertise and company size. The three-day workshop will assist professionals in enhancing logistics operations, understanding how to measure improvements, tailoring orders to company size and customer base.

Some issues that will be covered include: Improving Warehouse Productivity, Just-In-Time Concept/Applications, Growing Role of Information Technology, Forecasting Strategies/Techniques, and Warehousing Costs.

In the world of logistics, changes take place at an alarming rate. In order to succeed and stay competitive in the floor covering industry, your company must formulate an aggressive strategy that relates to its environment.
