Nextel offers GPS application for BlackBerry



Nextel offers TeleNav GPS Navigation, the "first GPS application available on the BlackBerry platform with real-time turn-by-turn GPS navigation," the first in a series of location-based services that will be offered to Nextel customers on BlackBerry via the company's Nationwide Digital Wireless Network.

TeleNav is similar to the in-car GPS navigation systems found in luxury automobiles, the company said, and features enhanced applications not found in traditional systems.
