The National Floor Safety Institute has awarded "High-Traction" product certification to Tennant Co.'s FaST automated cleaning system, making it the only automated cleaning system to receive the certification.
The NFSI introduced its product certification system - through which it certifies floor coverings, floor polishes, floor cleaning chemicals and, now, automated systems - in June 2002 in an effort to help curb the growing number of slip-and-fall accidents and fatalities in commercial settings.
The NFSI "High-Traction" product certification "is akin to a stamp of approval for products that offer a slip-and-fall accident prevention benefit," according to Tennant.
