Nilfisk-Advance acquires ALTO

An agreement was signed May 3 whereby Nilfisk-Advance acquires all the activities of ALTO cleaning. The transaction is effective from April 30, subject to approval by the competition authorities in a number of countries.

"Through the integration with the Nilfisk-Advance group, ALTO finds a natural industrial home with common culture and beliefs. The two companies share a common enterprise culture and complement each other strategically, geographically and in product terms," according to a company statement.

The new company will be globally represented, with sales and service in 31 countries and a network of exclusive distributors in other countries.
