Organic Compounds Inc., announces the retirement of its president of 33 years, Rex Watkins. The company named Joseph Freire president, and has retained Strategic Growth Incorporated to assist in the next phase of its growth.

Watkins became president of Organic Compounds when he acquired the company in 1974.

"It's no secret that I have been looking forward to retirement," Watkins said. "I've certainly enjoyed the years I've spent with Organic Compounds and the many friends, employees and business associates I've had the pleasure to work with these many years."

Watkins will continue to serve on the company's board as chairman.

In a prepared statement, Watkins thanked Organic Compounds employees, customers and vendors for their support during the past three decades. He went on to say, "We are very excited to welcome Mr. Freire to our company as president. He has a long track record of growing the revenue and profits of businesses he has been associated with in the past. He, along with his business growth management firm, Strategic Growth Inc., have already completed a promising new marketing and business plan for both Organic Compounds and for our Fox brand line of truckmount carpet cleaners."
