Connections Convention & Trade Show
Las Vegas, NV

The PCUCA Board of Directors at the Annual Connections Convention and Trade Show is coming up on September 9 – 11 at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas Nevada. And while at the convention this year, PCUCA will hold our Annual Membership Meeting on Friday September 11th. You and anyone you bring to the convention are more than welcome to join the board of directors and fellow PCUCA members for a time of networking and new ideas. Attend the PCUCA Annual Meeting at convention on Friday September 11th and you will also receive a coupon for $100 off per company to apply to your PCUCA Membership Dues for the 2010-2011 year!

The Connections Convention and Trade Show is the largest trade show of its kind in the cleaning and restoration industry. It features 300 booths inside and 40 booths outside. This year’s show offers the New “Experience”, the hands on program inside the trade show hall. Commercial Carpet Maintenance Contracts with Larry Cooper of Textile Consultants
PCUCA is hosting the Commercial Carpet Maintenance Contracts Workshop October 1 & 2, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. This is the first time it is being offered to PCUCA members and Non-Members.

This workshop will cover “Building Relationships in the Commercial Carpet Maintenance Business”, “Developing the Operations of the Commercial Carpet Maintenance Business”, and “Commercial Carpet Maintenance Contract Sales”. It will cover the nuts and bolts of the operations and everything that a company will need to turn-key the operation including the sales aspects of the business. Larry will make available his own tools that made his business successful.

Following the two day class, students will be invited to a “Hands-On” commercial location to put their new knowledge to work. More information on the “Hands-On” date and location are TBD.

Inspection & Preliminary Determination with John Banta of Restoration Consultants

A unique two-day program that provides restorers and remediators with the training needed to inspect buildings and develop a preliminary determination consistent with the IICRC S500 and S520. Appropriate documentation limits liability, helps to develop an accurate scope, and provides the basis to generate accurate and well documented invoices. Additionally, by identifying pre-existing conditions and other building related issues, restorers can minimize complaints and potential litigation.

Are you following the Industry Standard of Care? This course will take you through the IICRC S520 and S500 Standards and give you the information that you need to put practices into your company to properly track, record and document your jobs to reduce your company’s liability and risk.

This is the first time that this course will be held in this region. This course will pay for itself as you implement the program into your business.

IICRC RRT Course with Barry Costa, Aspire Educational Institute

The IICRC approved three day RRT course includes approximately 75% HANDS-ON TIME and classroom instruction with manual. Barry is the best instructor on Carpet Repair & Reinstallation in the country. This is a not to miss class!!! There are three DVD series available for purchase as a follow-up to this RRT course for those that would like to make this additional investment.

IICRC WRT Course with Barry Costa, Aspire Educational Institute

NEW Water Damage Restoration Course updated as of January 2008!!! This IICRC three day course includes hands on and classroom instruction and will include a 262 page interactive manual. Though not required, each company should bring their copy of the IICRC S500 3rd Edition Document to the course. Barry will have you identify with post-its many important areas for future referencing. If you do not have a copy, PCUCA will have some available for purchase at the course. Barry is the best instructor on Water Damage Restoration in the country. This is a not to miss class!!!
