Aerias hosts symposium on mold, IAQ

ATLANTA—Aerias, Inc. will host a national symposium on mold and indoor air quality on Oct. 18-19 at the Academy of Medicine in Atlanta. Scientists, physicians and attorneys will discuss mold, its health effects, and procedures for managing situations when growth is suspected or found in a building.

Presenters will discuss the latest research information on asthma, Stachybotrys mold, other indoor allergens, health effects of mold exposure and assessment techniques. Speakers will also present information on mold detection and environmental sampling.

A physician, an attorney, an environmental microbiologist, and the superintendent of administrative services will present a case study of mold contamination at a high school campus.
