ASCR elects new president, seeks new executive director

William J. Lakin of Stafford, England has been elected president of the Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration, becoming the first international to head the organization in its 60-year history. A member of ASCR since 1978, Lakin previously served as ASCR vice president and chairman of the ASCR Foundation.

In other news, ASCR Executive Director Larry Jacobson has left the association. The board may name an interim manager while a search is conducted for a new executive director. The search committee will be chaired by William Lakin.
