ASCR elects president, announces structural changes

The Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration elected Kenneth W. Adams of Ithaca, N.Y. as its 52nd president at the association's annual meeting in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Adams succeeds Timothy Horrigan, who will remain on the ASCR board and remain active in the association.

In other news, ASCR has streamlined its organizational structure "to more efficiently and effectively meet the needs of its members and the cleaning and restoration industry." ASCR now consists of three councils: ASCR Environmental Council, ASCR Restoration Council and ASCR Textile Council. The five institutes that formerly made up the ASCR have been folded into the new councils and no longer exist.
