More than 11,600 attended the combined event, said Beth B. Risinger, IEHA CEO/Executive Director. Attendees presented in-house professionals, wholesalers/distributors, manufacturers, and building service contractors in the cleaning and maintenance industries.
Risinger said the partnership with the Lincolnwood, Ill.-based International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA, www.issa.com) proved beneficial to IEHA due to the exposure the event generated, which also encouraged the association's board of directors to continue pursing similar opportunities to improve member benefits.
IEHA holds its own convention in even years. Its 38th Convention will be held in St. Paul, Minn., July 20-24, 2002.
IEHA president Gene Woodard also recently installed new and re-elected district directors during the fall meeting in Orlando. The four-year district director terms represent the Central, Eastern International, Lower Midwest, Penn-Jersey, Pacific Northwest and Southwest districts.
