line have been GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified.
Baltimore,
MD – May 19, 2010 – Chemspec, a leading manufacturer of cleaning products for
the residential and institutional marketplaces today announces that ten
products from its Detergent Free Cleaning line have been GREENGUARD Indoor Air
Quality Certified. These same products also received certification under the
more stringent GREENGUARD Children & Schools product emission standard.
Indoor Air
Quality is an issue that has been pushed in to the spotlight in recent years as
facility managers and homeowners alike focus on creating healthier living and
working spaces. “As we have done in the past, we have chosen to take the lead
on indoor air quality,” said Chemspec General Manager Terry Tabler. “It is
important to know the environmental impact of our products, and have those
results recognized by a qualified third-party certification such as GREENGUARD.”
The
GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certification is an extension to the
established GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification Program to more
effectively limit children’s exposure to high levels of potentially harmful
chemicals. United States Environmental Protection Agency estimates that 50% of
US schools have IAQ problems.
“The health and safety of
our children is always of great concern. We are pleased that we can offer
products that are proven to reduce a child’s exposure to VOCs and contribute to
an overall healthier and cleaner learning environment,” says Gary Polyoka, Chemspec
Director of New Business Development.
“We are
extremely excited to receive the GREEENGUARD Children & Schools
Certification,” says Frank Kinmonth, Chemspec Vice President of Sales. “This is
the toughest certification in the industry to obtain and further illustrates
our commitment to providing our customers with safer, healthier cleaning
products.”
