Carpet myths fabrications with the bad water.

The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) recently announced its commitment to educating people about carpet. CRI set out to dispel the myth that carpet causes problems with indoor air quality (IAQ).

CRI identified the most common misconceptions about carpet, including health risks associated with carpet, mold and mildew growth, the expense of carpet compared with other types of flooring, and carpet's relationship to volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

For more detailed information, contact the CRI at (800) 882-8846 or visit the organization's websites at www.carpet-rug.com and www.carpet-schools.com.
