DALTON GA - October 12, 2010. Seven new vacuum cleaners and one carpet extractor have been
recently certified under CRI's Seal of Approval (SOA) testing program for
carpet cleaning equipment, include the first carpet extractor from Minuteman.
The Carpet and Rug Institute’s (CRI) Seal of Approval (SOA)
program for vacuum cleaners validates performance in soil removal, indoor air
quality protection and reduced carpet wear. Vacuum cleaners meeting CRI’s Bronze Performance Metric now
include:
- Windsor
Industries’ models: Sensor XP 12 (SRPXP12), Sensor XP 15 (SRPXP15), Sensor XP
18 (SRXP18), Versamatic 18 (VSP 18), and the Versamatic 14 (VSP 14) Commercial
Uprights.
- PowrFlite
model PF600BP Commercial Backpack.
- VacPro’s
FB-SPDM SpeedyMaid Lightweight Commercial Upright.
The Carpet and Rug Institute’s (CRI) Seal of Approval (SOA)
program for carpet extractors validates performance in soil removal, water
removal, and carpet texture retention. The latest carpet extractor meeting
CRI’s Silver Performance Metric is Minuteman International’s X17 self-contained
extractor.
The SOA program now includes a total of 213 vacuum cleaners and
90 carpet extractors that have been submitted voluntarily by manufacturers for
evaluation by CRI’s test complex. Since its inception, the SOA program has been
responsible for increasing the amount of soil removed from carpet, and thus the
efficacy and productivity of cleaning operations, by a significant margin.
