A ribbon-cutting ceremony signaled the opening of the new facility, located at 1167 Mercer St. More than 140 people attended the event, including Seattle Chamber of Commerce President Steve Leahy, sports broadcaster Sam Adkins, and Jill Nishi, director of economic development for the city of Seattle.
Attendees lunched on an outdoor barbeque and were treated to several walking tours of CURE's new "flood house," a testing and training facility for water-damage restoration scenarios the company says is just the second such facility on the West Coast. Chief Operations Officer Todd Eccles led the tours, answering questions and pointing out some of the house's unique features.
