Dri-Eaz holds drying symposium in Las Vegas
The three-day event featured a wide variety of educational topics and speakers from all aspects of the restoration industry, and some beyond it. Among the many experts assembled for the knowledge-thirsty crowd of more than 450, Dr. James Craner addressed the topic of “Indoor Air Quality and Health Risks,” and Larry Cooper, chair of the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification’s S500 Water Damage Restoration Task Force, filled the crowd in on the status of the changes being made to the S500 standard, and offered a preview into the upcoming S520 Standard for Mold Remediation due out later this summer.
Dri-Eaz developed its symposium without a vendor or trade show aspect, instead focusing specifically on education and the exchange of information, with exceptional results. But that’s not to say it was strictly a classroom experience; May 1 saw a number of participants in the company-sponsored golf tournament at the Siena Golf Club.
