Dri-Eaz offers 3-day training in mold remediation

September 13, 2000
In response to the public and insurance community’s concern about the affect that mold has on people, Dri-Eaz will offer a three-day Mold and Sewage Remediation Training Course, Sept. 7-9, 2000 in Burlington, WA. The training will be held at the Center for Advanced Restorative Drying in Burlington and will be led by Jim Holland, CR.

Some of the topics that Holland will cover include: an overview of microbiology to help attendees understand how mold, bacteria, and fungi exist and reproduce; techniques to safely search for mold and sewage damage; effective ways to return a structure to pre-loss condition; how to construct a decontamination chamber; pressurization and air movement; building and structural considerations; accepted procedural standards; and correctly documenting a job. In addition, the course will feature slides from real-life cases.
