Elliott Affiliates Ltd., Baltimore MD, a leading consulting firm specializing in performance management, has been granted a secondary license to the Integrated Cleaning and Measurement (ICM) open-source platform; a system in which 'best practices' are defined by scientific measurement of cleaning outcomes.
This builds on the successful and ongoing primary licensing of the program to the non-profit International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) in 2008.
Under this license, Elliott Affiliates will have the right to use the ICM name, trademarks and any other intellectual property, to incorporate ICM principles into its training and client materials as well as to continue the development of the ICM model with IEHA.
The ICM licensing arrangement aligns with Elliott's mission involving:
- A systematic search for excellence, including implementation of quality management systems
- Developing performance-based cleaning management programs tailored to the specific needs of clients
- Identifying key performance indicators and success factors
- Benchmarking and auditing performance
- Training clients on the principles of performance management and of the quality movement.
Plans are underway to capture the data collected from field measurements for benchmarking and process improvement. Elliott Affiliates will manage an online resource to assist IEHA member facilities in collecting data and making meaningful decisions based on the information. Elliott will also help people who desire more hands-on assistance as they develop their own cleaning and measurement protocols.
“I see four fundamental metrics that initially need to be measured, tracked and managed: occupant satisfaction; image or appearance of the facility; biological contamination issues based on ATP count; and particulate count,” said Vince Elliott, founder and CEO of Elliott Affiliates.
