Hanley-Wood Partners to Unveil ‘Ultimate Work Truck’

January 12, 2001
Washington (Business Wire) -- Hanley-Wood's Tools of the Trade magazine has teamed up with Ford trucks and other leading manufacturers including Porter-Cable, Delta Machinery, and A.R.E. Inc. to create the ultimate work truck for 2001-the Site Commander(TM).

The Site Commander(TM) is a high-profile concept truck equipped with the tools, equipment, and "one-of-a-kind innovations" that any contractor could ever want in a work truck, the company says.

This year's Ford F350 Super Duty pickup includes the latest models of the sponsor's power and hand tools, unique features designed to cut job site set up and pack up time in half, and communications gear to keep contractors in touch with their office, suppliers, customers and building officials.

The Site Commander(TM) will begin its cross country tour on January 12th in Jackson, TN, and then head for appearances in 35 markets stopping at Ford dealerships, tools distributors, and lumber dealers. At each stop, demonstrations will be given on the features and benefits of the truck as well as a sweepstakes giveaway for chances to win the Site Commander(TM).
