Hoover’s new line of upright
commercial vacuums, the first to be introduced by the company in a number of years,
features advanced technology to facilitate maintenance and maximize
productivity.
Hoover now offers a new line of upright commercial vacuums,
the first to be introduced by the company in a number of years. Called INSIGHT,
the new line features advanced technology to facilitate maintenance and maximize
productivity. The INSIGHT line consists of five models, two of which are now
available.
“We monitored market trends and
conducted extensive research among distributors, customers, end-users and
competitors to deliver innovative features that address the unmet needs of the
commercial market,” said Brad Nyholm, TTI Floor Care product manager commercial
division. “Among the factors taken into account in developing the INSIGHT line
were green initiatives established by LEEDS and CRI, high filtration
requirements, noise levels, ease of maintenance, parts cost, productivity and
reliability.”
To address these factors, the
following features are standard on all INSIGHT models:
on-board diagnostics, HEPA filtration, auto-seal allergen
bags, quick-change brush rolls, 50-ft. quick-change cords, patented WindTunnel™
technology, 13-in. and 15-in. cleaning paths and tool-less assembly.
The first two models, the CH50100 and
CH50102, feature universal AC motors and LED on-board diagnostics to help users
maximize the life of bags, filters and brush rolls for increased productivity
and cost savings. Both manual and auto
height adjustment models are available.
Three additional models, available
later in the year, will offer MagnaTorque™ brushless DC motors, the
first to be offered by any manufacturer for commercial vacuums. MagnaTorque motors provide more torque
for increased power, greater efficiency, reliability and longer service life.
They also offer a number of environmental benefits, including the elimination
of carbon dust emissions for improved air quality and reduced noise levels.
In addition these models will offer
on-board diagnostics, two of which will include an enhanced LCD diagnostic
system known as Intelligent Design Technology (IDT), which communicates issues
that may affect the performance of the vacuum and how to repair them.
TTI Floor Care conducted a brief
field test to ensure the new vacuums can withstand the rigorous demands of
commercial cleaning and to identify opportunities for improvement prior to
launching them.
