Howe-Baker Wins $45M Contract

Plainfield, Ill. (Business Wire) -- Howe-Baker Engineers, L.L.C., a business unit of Howe-Baker International, L.L.C. and a subsidiary of Chicago Bridge & Iron Company N.V., has been awarded a turnkey contract valued in excess of US$45 million to construct a modular petrochemical plant for Honeywell Specialty Chemicals. The plant, which consists of two processing units, will manufacture a new and proprietary refrigerant and will be installed at Honeywell's Geismar, La. complex.

Howe-Baker's work scope includes detailed engineering design, fabrication and assembly of process modules, and field erection. The plant includes approximately 120 modules, which Howe-Baker will fabricate and assemble in its Tyler, Texas facilities. Mechanical completion is expected in the second quarter of 2002.
