IEHA to Present WoolSafe Educational Offerings at ISSA

November 2, 2010

WESTERVILLE, OH - October 28, 2010. The International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) will present WoolSafe North America educational offerings at the IEHA Booth at ISSA/INTERCLEAN in Orlando, November 9-12. Ruth Travis, Executive Director of WoolSafe North America, will be available at IEHA’s booth to answer questions about the program and to explain the advantages of becoming a WoolSafe Fabric Care Specialist.

“We are pleased to have Ruth Travis at our booth to consult with our members and enable as many as possible to take advantage of the WoolSafe Fabric Care Specialist online training course offered at a discount to IEHA members as part of our Professional Education Credentialing Program (PECP) curriculum,” says Beth Risinger, CEO and Executive Director of IEHA. “Wool or wool-rich carpets, rugs, and upholstery are becoming standard in more and more upscale facilities, making this educational initiative very timely.”

“Because of its environmentally-positive profile, attractiveness, resilience and durability, wool is specified in a growing number of commercial facilities such as hotels, casinos, and executive offices,” said Ruth Travis, Executive Director of WoolSafe North America. “Our educational partnership with IEHA is good news for executive housekeepers and cleaning professionals who maintain these locations and want to take their expertise in wool-textile care to advanced levels. We are excited to share information with IEHA members and others at ISSA/INTERCLEAN about the WoolSafe Fabric Care Specialist 24/7 online and local training opportunities, as well as related recognition and credentialing programs.”

The WoolSafe program has been available in Great Britain and a handful of other countries as an in-person classroom training course. The new online training program makes it readily accessible in North America and around the world. IEHA will be making WoolSafe educational programs available to its members in IEHA chapters nationwide and internationally.
