IICRC, CRI to Benefit From New Relationship

March 15, 2001
Vancouver, WA -- The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) President Lee Zimmerman recently announced its membership in the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI).

This membership will make the IICRC a part of the CRI referral network creating an additional channel through which the IICRC can route information to interested parties about certified firms and technicians.

Each year, IICRC Certified Carpet Cleaning Technicians are in over 12 million homes cleaning over 10 billion square feet of carpet. They spend approximately two hours per visit, amounting to over 28.5 million hours spent annually with consumers.

“The IICRC is very pleased about the recent membership in CRI. It will allow for the development of a synergistic relationship between the two organizations. Ultimately, this membership will benefit consumers seeking information on professional carpet technicians,” said Jeff Bishop, IICRC Certification Board Chair.
