Bloomington, IN - October 13, 2010 -ISSA Green Cleaning University
(ISSA GCU) announces that three new classes have been added to the
course's curriculum and that several "core" classes have been updated
was founded by David Holly and Stephen Ashkin, both of The Ashkin Group, LLC.
Last year GCU formed a partnership with ISSA creating ISSA
Green Cleaning University.
According to Holly, Chancellor of ISSA GCU and senior project manager for The
Ashkin Group, before the recent update there were 10 core or comprehensive GCU
classes applicable to all interested in Green Cleaning.
"They were designed as an introduction to Green Cleaning and to be viewed
by a broad spectrum of industry segments," says Holly.
The three new classes are:
- The Science of Green Cleaning
- Introduction to Industrial Hygiene
- Green Cleaning Standards and Certifications.
Additionally, updates to current courses allow students to take course exams
online instead of mailing them to ISSA GCU.
Successful completion of the course exams provides students with a Certificate
of Completion and the designation as an ISSA Green Cleaning Professional.
First introduced in 2006, GCU has graduated several hundred Green Cleaning
Professionals. Originally, the curriculum focused on helping JanSan
distributors understand Green Cleaning issues and be better prepared to assist
