Kaivac Awarded Patent
June 3, 2010
Hamilton, OH – June 2, 2010 - The U.S.
Patent and Trademark Office has awarded a patent to Kaivac,
Inc., for its QuickDraw
System.
This instant chemical-injection system is specifically
designed to allow users in smaller facilities to take advantage of Kaivac's No-Touch
Cleaning® System.
Using the systems multimode spray gun, users can apply
cleaning agents to surfaces and then rinse those areas clean in a much more
precise and targeted manner.
Along with the spray gun, the patent applies to the systems
ergonomically designed, lightweight “ hip pack” that contains the unit’s
chemical pouch.
“Some of the highlights of the QuickDraw System that helped it
earn a patent are that it speeds up the cleaning process and reduces water
usage by as much as 50 percent,” says Tom Morrison, Vice President of Marketing
for Kaivac. “This allows the user to clean as many as 75 [restroom] fixtures on
a single tank of water.”
Kaivac has been awarded
multiple patents for its products during the past 12 years. This is the
company’s tenth patent, and it has 13 more patent applications awaiting
approval.
“We are very proud of our patented products,” says Morrison.
“Obviously they are very innovative, which is why they have earned these
patents. But that means nothing unless they help users clean faster, more
thoroughly, and more hygienically. That really is our goal.”
