Karcher undertakes aggressive expansion in North America

Karcher USA, a Germany-based manufacturer of pressure washers and other cleaning equipment, has announced several recent moves designed to enable the company to make a substantial impact on what it describes as "the largely untapped North American market."

The company recently relocated its U.S. operations from Somerset, N.J. to Duluth, Ga. Karcher expects to have a workforce of 60 employees in place by the end of 2002. The office will house the company's administrative, sales, finance and marketing operations.

Karcher has also reshaped its organizational chart, making a number of changes that the company says should strengthen its competitive position in North America.
