Keeping carpet clean and green

August 4, 2011

Bob Ferguson, partner of Green Kleen in Myrtle Beach says when your carpet looks dirty, 85 percent of the dirt is actually trapped in the bottom layer of your carpet.

"If you don't remove that first, then you're really not cleaning the carpet," says Ferguson. "If you're not getting that all out of the bottom of the carpet you haven't cleaned it, you just cleaned the top of it," says Ferguson.

Ferguson says this is often the case when people use a traditional carpet cleaning extraction, using steam or water, to get their carpet cleaned. From The Sun News.
