Letters to the Editor: Bob Wittkamp’s Book

I have recently received Bob Wittkamp’s “Carpet Cleaning Tech’s Book,” which is advertised in ICS. What a great book. I have been in the carpet cleaning business for 25 years, certified by the IICRC in carpet, upholstery and water damage.

This book covers such a variety of must-knows for the beginning tech, like principles of professional carpet cleaning, fiber identification, commercial and residential cleaning, spot removal, and filtration soiling.

For the seasoned tech, it covers dye blockers, Oriental rugs, brag books, how to impress the “tough client,” and more on pooling and water marking.

For the owner, it is also a must for warranty information, complaint handling, company image and just ’em happy.

The book is a must for all cleaning business just starting or for the experts that can learn even more neat little tricks from the Guru of carpet cleaning.
