New DuPont products meet commitments ahead of schedule

April 12, 2007

DuPont has successfully commercialized a new manufacturing process to remove greater than 97 percent of trace levels of perfluorooctanoic (PFOA) acid, its homologues and direct precursors from its fluorotelomer products. The milestone meets key commitments of the EPA voluntary stewardship program for content development, 3 years ahead of schedule.

The new “LX Platform Products” are expected to be drop-in replacements for current DuPont products.

“World class science, superior performing products and a commitment to global sustainability are the driving forces behind our new LX Platform Products,” John Moriarty, global market and business director, DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise, said.
