Seven professional carpet-cleaning companies from the
Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Association volunteered their
equipment, time and labor May 22 to clean the Denver Ronald McDonald House. This
was a great opportunity for PCUCA and its members to give back to their
community, and giving to an organization like the Ronald McDonald House is very
special.
The seven companies include Academy Services; Ace Carpet
& Upholstery Care; Chancey & Sons; 5280 Commercial Carpet Cleaning
& Restoration; Chase Carpet Care; Fine Carpet & Fabric Care, and
Miracle Services. All of the cleaning products were donated by local supplier
Steam Way International. These outstanding companies all support certified
technicians and continued education and professionalism in their field. These
companies are active in their community and welcomed the opportunity to
volunteer to give back to others in need.

PCUCA President Andrew Conklin stated, “Our members
volunteer to clean both Ronald McDonald Houses yearly. This gives our
organization an opportunity to give something back to the community in which we
live, work and play together. The work that is done by the Ronald McDonald
House Community is amazing and we are all happy as local companies to work to
enhance the efforts of their organization. Ronald McDonald House gives the gift
of staying in their house to family members who are going through difficult
times with sick ones in their family.”
The Ronald McDonald House takes in the families of sick
children who are getting care at Children’s Hospital in Denver. These families
come from all over the country and the Ronald McDonald House provides them with
a temporary home and support while their children are being cared for. This is
just one of more than 210 houses across the nation and the world. The Denver
house has been serving the community for more than 25 years, and PCUCA was
honored in being asked to take part in providing a service for a charity that
has done so much for the community.
