Hamilton, OH - October, 11
2010 - Robert Robinson, Sr., is the recipient of the 2010 ISSA Young Executives Society
(YES) Industry Special Achievement award.
The award is given out at
the ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North
America trade show, which is being held this year in Orlando
November 9-12, 2010.
The YES award recognizes
individuals or companies that have made significant contributions to the
professional cleaning industry, ISSA, and YES.
According to Lori Zarling,
ISSA staff liaison for the YES organization, Robinson is being honored because
he developed the Kaivac No-Touch Cleaning System, "which is seen as a
revolutionary product; his help in promoting healthy cleaning programs; his
work getting the Cleaning Industry Research
Institute (CIRI) started; his support of ISSA through his service on
the Board of Directors; and his strong support of the YES organization."
The YES organization, which
is dedicated to "developing young professionals today," is designed
to provide leadership and networking opportunities for executives in the
professional cleaning industry under the age of 45.
The award was established
in 1988 and has honored several notable Grant Watkins, formerly
with Coastwide
Laboratories industry leaders. Some of the recent honorees
include:
- Stephen H. Swigart, chairman and chief executive
officer (CEO) of Spartan Chemical Company, Inc.
- Kevin Ervin,
vice president of sales and marketing for DEE Janitorial Supply, Inc.
"The YES
[organization] has made a major contribution to our industry," says
Robinson. "It has helped promote the values and leadership skills that
have helped our industry grow and become stronger. I am deeply honored to
receive this award."
