The three-day event featured top industry speakers, panels and round-table style discussions led by nearly 40 leaders from all facets of the industry, including: Dr. Dennis Deaton, Quma Learning; Rick Rusaw, B.R. Consulting; Joe Polish, Piranha Marketing; and Gary Kenworthy, Carpet & Rug Institute. There were also tradeshow style booths for many of Steam Way’s suppliers. Gary Kenworthy, CRI announced that the CRI Seal of Approval Program is being expanded to include the carpet cleaning industry and will include professional cleaning firms and technical training schools.
The event was climaxed by Steam Way CEO Doyle Bloss, who announced that the company had entered into an agreement to be purchased by C-Tech Industries. C-Tech is the world’s largest manufacturer of pressure washing equipment and accessory products. Among their many companies are Hotsy and Landa. C-Tech President Andy Gale said that they were excited about merging C-Tech’s heat and water technologies and manufacturing synergies with Steam Way. The management of Steam Way by the Bloss family will remain intact.
