Tennant Acquires Sociedade Alfa

NEW YORK (Associated Press) - Tennant Co., which makes floor-cleaning equipment, said Friday it has completed its acquisition of Sociedade Alfa Ltda., which makes Alfa brand commercial cleaning machines. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Brazilian company posted 2007 revenue of about $9 million. Alfa's products include commercial ride-on scrubbers, ride-on sweepers and walk-behind scrubbers.
