The Clean Trust: Building an International Trade Association

The Clean Trust is moving forward with plans for an independent international trade association initially approved at The Clean Trust executive committee and board of directors meetings in 2011.



The Clean Trust is moving forward with plans for an independent international trade association initially approved at The Clean Trust executive committee and board of directors meetings in 2011. The Clean Trust expects to launch the new association in 2012. Helping to lead this charge is our president, Patrick Winters, who has extensive non-profit expertise and knowledge of organizational design within associations.

The Clean Trust trade association will internationally unify and support collaboration within the cleaning, restoration and inspection industry, allowing members to pursue common goals and interests. The association will provide the tools and resources necessary for members to grow their businesses and better serve their customers. It will also provide members with education and access to research and specialized information. As an added benefit, The Clean Trust association will direct government affairs activities, including increasing member awareness and facilitating relationships on behalf of state and federal legislative activity throughout the United States. The profession and industry is coming under increased pressure in the form of government regulation and legislation. As such, it will be the association’s job to advocate on our members’ behalf for or against government regulation that impacts their ability to do business.

Our goal of establishing an industry unifying association is to advance communication, collaboration and technical proficiency within the industry. To that end, The Clean Trust association has an overriding goal to help its members make money and save money. As we all know, the number one reason people belong to associations is for networking and peer relationships. Through informal education, meetings and conferences, members will learn best practices and standards in the cleaning, restoration and inspection industry.

The association is also working on access to specialized information, group buying and discounts specific to the profession and industry.

The Clean Trust will continue, with participation from the entire industry, to develop standards for inspection, cleaning and restoration. It will also continue to approve schools and instructors who provide training and certification for industry professionals. Both organizations will offer networking and professional development opportunities for industry professionals.
