Tornado Industries' CV30 and CV38 vacuum cleaners have been performance tested and earned the "Approved Equipment" label from Tandus, a manufacturer of commercial floor coverings and the parent company of Collins&Aikman, Monterey, and Crossley.

Both machines have already been awarded the Carpet and Rug Institute's "Green Label" certification, the company said.

The Tandus procedure requires vacuum cleaners to capture at least 51 percent of the pre-measured soil on a carpet.
