Sapphire Scientific has been shipping the Upholstery Pro for just a few weeks, and long-time industry experts “are already hailing it as the best tool on the market.” Manufactured in the Dri-Eaz facilities in Burlington, Wash., the cleaning tool incorporates several unique features that make upholstery cleaning significantly easier.

This tool addresses several issues that have plagued the upholstery cleaning operator for years. “The biggest challenge for hand tools has been operator fatigue,” said Jon Simmons, Manager of Customer Relations at Sapphire. “The Upholstery Pro’s durable, lightweight construction, ergonomic design and super-flexible hose make it ideal for all-day production cleaning and complex detailing.”

The second challenge cleaners face is controlling solution flow and heat loss. The Upholstery Pro resolves this problem by incorporating both a needle valve and a trigger valve – the first tool to do so. “This is the best of both worlds,” said Simmons. “The needle valve lets you fine tune the solution flow and control heat, and the trigger control gives you precise control as you move from surface to surface.”

The Upholstery Pro’s continuous flow design eliminates overspray. Unlike jetted tools, which can quickly over-wet fabrics and spray onto vulnerable surfaces, the Upholstery Pro allows for precise application of cleaning solution and thorough extraction all in a single stroke.

The Upholstery Pro is also designed for easy service in the field. The in-line solution filter removes easily and rinses clean, and changing out a glide or valve requires just a few minutes and simple hand tools.

The tool is constructed of Super-Tough nylon and high temperature brass fittings. Sapphire’s warranty covers the glide and valve for one year, hoses and fittings for two years, and the tool body for ten years.
