USDA: New Product Label Creates Markets for Cleaning Industry
October 11, 2011
Las Vegas, Nevada (October 10, 2011) – The
U.S. Department of Agriculture's BioPreferred program (USDA BioPreferred
program) launched a new USDA Certified Biobased Product Label this year to
better inform consumers' purchasing decisions and help manufacturers-including
those in the cleaning industry-market bio-based products. Currently, over 25
percent of labeled products are cleaning-related products.
To educate cleaning industry leaders and experts on
the new label, the USDA BioPreferred program will exhibit and present at the
upcoming ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America show October 19-21, 2011, in Las Vegas,
Nevada. USDA BioPreferred Program Manager Ron Buckhalt will lead an ISSA-TV LIVE presentation at no additional cost with a trade
show badge. Attendees will learn more about how the new label can help educate
consumers about biobased cleaning products and differentiate it from
competitors.
Buckhalt will speak during the ISSA-TV LIVE
presentation titled, “Big Connections! The Cleaning Industry and the USDA
BioPreferred Program” on October 20, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at the ISSA–TV LIVE
AREA, booth 466 on the trade show floor during the ISSA Convention at the Las
Vegas Convention Center. Combined with the education and networking events
at ISSA/INTERCLEAN, the ISSA Convention is the largest of its kind in the global
cleaning industry.
