Warm, Wet Winter is Plus for Carpet Cleaners

March 1, 2012

The warm, wet winter is proving beneficial for carpet cleaning companies, especially with clients that have pets, according to a story in the Chicago Tribune.

From the story: Carpet cleaning businesses are doing well, thanks to muddy track marks and early thoughts of spring cleaning. Landscapers hope to fix messed-up yards in a few months, but for now have made little money off their winter staple -- snow removal. And companies that make a buck off frozen pipes and busted furnaces? "After 20 years in business, this is the slowest I've seen it," said Matt Morse, owner of Precision Plumping, Heating, Cooling and Drain Services in Lombard. "In years past, we'd get those snaps of cold and once those pipes start freezing, the phones would just light up. Not this year."
