Irate Milwaukee County supervisors Wednesday lashed out over the privatization of county janitorial services, saying they had little say over how the contracts were drafted or awarded.

The outsourcing move was approved as a money-saving move in the 2010 county budget, over the objections of some supervisors.

By categorizing the service as a standardized procurement, the administration of County Executive Scott Walker cut out the County Board from any meaningful role in reviewing the outsourcing move, Supervisor Toni Clark said. From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
