Research Triangle Park, N.C. (PRNewswire) -- Reichhold, Inc., a specialty chemical company based in Research Triangle Park, NC, will increase process on its Vinyl Acetate containing emulsions and powders by 10-15% effective January 8, 2001. This increase covers customers serviced by Reichhold North America operations.

The price increase covers but is not limited to: Sythemul® Acrylic emulsions; Arolon Solution Acrylics and Styrene Acrylic emulsions; Pace® and Plyamul® polyvinyl acetate homopolymers and copolymers; Elvace (R)- vinyl acetate-ethylene emulsions; and Wallpol® - vinyl acrylic emulsions.

The company says the increase is a result of the unprecedented rise in raw material costs, especially, Vinyl Acetate Monomer, Ethylene, Butyl Acrylate and Methyl Methacrylate.

These emulsion products are used in the coatings, sealant, textile, non-wovens, paper, carpet, adhesives, construction products and associated businesses. Reichhold sales representatives will contact customers to provide details of the increase.
