According to a press release, because luxury hotels are constantly upgrading and renovating rooms, rather than sending "used" goods to a landfill or liquidator, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is breaking the mold by sending luxury items such as furniture, mattresses, towels, etc., to battered women's shelters.
