Sanitaire takes the weight out of uprights

Sanitaire introduces the Sanitaire Lightweights, models SC679 and SC689, two upright vacuum cleaners designed to be lightweight, quiet, and easy to empty.

Both units are 5-amp uprights with a commercial UL listing. The Model SC679 weighs just over 12 pounds, and Model SC689 weighs in at just less than 15 pounds. The SC679 has a shakeout dust bag, where the SC689 features a clear dust-cup for seeing when it is time to empty the dirt.

Both models have a 12-inch base and a four-position carpet setting.
