The guest speaker for the March meeting of the Michigan Chapter of the Society of Cleaning and Restoration Technicians will be Shaw Industries Technical Director and SCRT Board of Directors member Carey Mitchell.

Shaw is a full-service flooring company with more than $5 billion in annual sales.

Unless you have buried your head in the sand or have not picked up a trade magazine in the last year, you should know by now that many if not all carpet manufacturers have re-written their cleaning and maintenance warranty specifications to include new standards of care to maintain warranties. New testing procedures have provided never-before-seen information in regard to the effectiveness of cleaning products, methods and systems. Shaw has spent hundreds of thousands on their own laboratories with state of the art testing equipment and procedures, and they work closely with Professional Testing Laboratories utilizing the XRF technology developed by NASA.

Join us March 12 as Mitchell shows us his data and conclusions on the newest study on encapsulation cleaning and how it really cleans, and where you should or should not be using it. If you are using encapsulation now, or you are thinking about starting, you will not want to miss this meeting. This is an opportunity to share and trade information with a top industry leader that will keep you and your company on the cutting edge of technologies in the cleaning and restoration industries. Usually you have to travel far and spend hundreds in travel expenses to listen and network with this caliber of industry leader.

As a benefit to SCRT members, this is a free meeting, as our SCRT associate member Advance Marketing is providing the meeting location. All non-member carpet cleaners are welcome too.
